If anyone has ever followed the history of this chap in the net, two things emerge time and again. Firstly, he is a gifted strategist, a Von Manstein and Guderian. A military genius who pioneered new methods of gaming in the virtual. I have studied every single one of his battles not once but at least a dozen times, where it is not unusual for him to triumph over larger forces. In certain cases the odds even seemed impossible, but he still managed to hold the high ground. If anyone knows how this wayang kulit is going to be played out it is him. I tell you. He has already given us all the rough outline of the story. He mentioned this whole idea of community moderation and the setting up of the IC3 is like religion, it needs miracles, people need to feel edified. They need to see it work before they can even believe it is useful. This is a big clue. It means, concessions will be given. I certain some old defunct laws will even be repealed. When this is done everyone will say, “Wooooooow.” It will have the desired shock and awe response. The second clue he gives us is. He says the net will be unionized. That means a oligarchy will be set up. At first I am very sure it will be run by bloggers, but as time goes by, they will be kicked out until finally it is run by the same panel of wax works. This is what he means by the unionization of the net. The third clue is he even tells us why this must be so. He has calculated the government can no longer attempt to control the net by way of legislation. Even those in government know this cannot be done without attracting undue scrutiny from the world watchers. So by pursuing this strategy, they will get to cut the cake and eat it at the same time. Darkness should have stayed on to fight it out. By walking out in the way he did and starting this writers boycott all he is doing is weakening our net further.
