There are so many people out there that you have to stereotype. True, there are exceptions, but the very reason why stereotypes exist is that the overwhelming majority fits. There are as many truths as there are people, so if you are different, you can disprove your stereotype. People are normally impressed, but although they see you in a different light, it doesn't mean that their stereotypes have changed. The brightest Humanities minds have stereotypes too and you can't simplify things into free/not-free. People who champion liberalism and equality for all stereotype their opponents. Hypocritical but true. Stereotyping is as natural as being human. There are so many people out there that you have to stereotype. True, there are exceptions, but the very reason why stereotypes exist is that the overwhelming majority fits.
