Dont know how to drive fast…

March 4, 2025

Then slow down. You know there’s a very good reason why racing cognoscenti’s don’t ever want to go beyond 110 km in a Porsche 911. It’s a fire trap! When the prototypal 356 was rolled out in 1965, it featured a front metal gas tank…..since then to the current iteration of the 911, German car engineers have tried in vain to ensure the front placement of the gas tank doesn’t light up whenever it was involved in a frontal collision…..Porsche could never really solve the perrenial problem of their filler neck breaking off and spilling gasoline thru out the 60s to 70’s and into the 80’s…all they really did was use impact resistant plastic to form their fuel tanks which for some strange reason was never reinforced with additional crash armor…..all that needs to be done is incorporate a cheap metal plate….this also cannot do! This is the worst possible crash for the 911 in my considered opinion as its a bulls eye hit on the Archilles heel of the 91, its seriously flawed fuel tank placement. The good news is, at least the speeder didn’t take any innocent riders or cars with him….he must have so wanted to impersonate a firecracker and for a few seconds, he certainly did proceed like a speeding rocket and even light up the streets with sparks only to flame and disappear into oblivion….travel well.

I just hope and pray no trees were damaged in the accident.
