The Paradox of a good government

When common folk put too much faith in the idea of government improving their lives, what they are inadvertently doing is suspending their own power to improve their lives…..the best way for one to improve ones lot is to simply cultivate the healthy outlook of regarding governments as optional to ones well being and if possible very existence. This isnt encouraging apathy or indifference neither is it subversive, it is first and foremost a precondition to real individual freedom.
