Q: Greetings Darkness 2025. The fist question is tangential – what do you consider as the most important aspect of character building? The second question Is what do you see as the learning outcomes of the recent Pakistan vs Indian conflict in the context of the broader events that is happening around the world. The third question relates to what is happening between the EU and the US. You have mentioned previously that the current cadre of EU leaders are all lackeys and incapable of independent thought and action, what do you think accounts for this bovine attitude?

A: The most important aspect of character building? I think its the power to stand alone and to be comfortable in your own skin. This may seem easy, but it isn’t that may account for why this subject is non existent as a teachable subject in most business schools simply because man is scripted to be a social animal from day number1. We have all been conditioned to seek approval and validation from others in one shape or form to construct the self and we do this in all sorts of silly ways such as buying stuff to impress people who we hardly know or perhaps dedicating a significant part of our waking hours to task that really just resemble perpetual masturbation of the soul. But when one strips all these affectations and time wasting activities away, one is suddenly confronted by the smallness of ones courage and above all the crushing nature of loneliness. For many this idea of loneliness has great powers to unsettle their sense and sensibilities. This is understandable. I realise in the past, I have labelled such men weak. Perhaps I was too judgemental and I am sorry. But its their ignorance that I rue. They see it as either a character flaw that must be shrouded and some even feel guilty for not being able to correct it. Yet others see loneliness as a state of purgatory where one can only believe the purpose of life is to nourish suffering. But I see it differently to me suffering and dealing with loneliness is a great raw material for character building.

The world has lied to all of you! It has propogated the notion that the ultimate goal in life is to have it easy all the way. This especially so in your case as your read club is populated by spineless scholars who have the big easy. Tell what have any of you accomplished? Let that cinder of reality sink in like a red hot poker into the marrow of your consciousness….nothing! The easy life is a destroyer, it chelates a man’s will, corrodes his will to power and reduces him to nothing more than a monkey trained to pick coconuts. Truth is life is difficult, it is potholed by nightmarish episodes. Some of you may have discovered this truism. They are the fortunate ones, as they can now set aside their illusions and proceed with earnest to the truth. Truth is life has to be difficult as nails for the new creation of the real man to be reborn. Yes, this is the terrible truth that the air con society does not care to understand.
